Artist's Comments

Baby's first print! Diptych exploring cause and effect. Top print: direct mark-making; plate folded along drypointed lines, lines being an aspect of how a sheet of paper (or metal) looks when it is folded into a crane. Bottom print: etching and literal depiction of origami cranes. I'll post a colour print soon.

Paper: 11 x 14", Somerset Rough
Plate: (2) copper, 4½ x 6"
Edition: 1/6, black ink; 6 (3 black ink only; 3 using combination of black and colour)

Oh, those... absolutely!! That's probably one of the first things I ever learnt to do with paper (other than crumple it up or draw on it, I suppose)! :)
